Weekends off?
Hey guys right now im doing a 5 day split...
Chest
Back
Shoulders
Arms
Legs
I was wondering if it would be good to workout monday through friday, and taking the weekends off? Only reason I ask this is because the gym I go to closes early on the weekend, and by the time i get off work the gym is closed. During the week this isnt a problem. Any ideas?

Your body grows during rest. Take the weekends off, I still think you are overtraining, but hey, whatever works for you.

I don't see any problems with taking the weekend off, however i would suggest putting legs in the middle of the week. Give your upper body a break. So maybe, switch shoulders and legs, just a suggestion.

Weekends off is ok. But as stated I'd put legs in during the middle of the week.
Ex.
back
shoulders
legs
chest
arms

I personally cannot take 2 days in a row off. Try a 2 on 1 off.
-
just keep in mind that your gains come while resting and not in the gym

I've learned from trial and error about overtraining....I now work out 4 days a week...and have gotten the best results ever from my new split..
Monday chest/shoulders
Tuesday back
Wednesday off
Thursday bis/tris/forearms
Friday legs
Saturday off
Sunday off
