    Push pull or push push

If I decide to work a mass muscle group and little muscle group in the same day.... should it be chest tris, back bi's, or chest biceps, back triceps?

I have been working one mucsle group a day 6 days a week and am thinking about going the 4 day route. It would look somthing like this.

    Mon: Chest tri's (or bi's)
    tues: back bi's (or tri's)
    wed: traps shoulders
    thurs: legs

Do you guys think that 3 days off from the gym is too much?

I will be starting a cycle soon and don't want to wast the days if that is the case.

I kinda prefer doing the same little muscle groups as the larger- feel like I can go more all out and completely exhaust everything related. I suppose it's all personal preference though!

I personally would do push push buts it ideally what you want to do. I personally like to do a big push movement and a big pull movement one day then about 2 days later do another big push and and a big pull. Then on the first day I do a small push and on the second day I do a small pull.

    For example
    Bench Press, Rows, Dips-day 1
    Pullups, Military Press, Curls-day 2

But thats just me, I like working opposites because it promotes faster healing and they dont seem to hurt your strength on either exercise because your not using the same muscle groups. Charles Poliquin wrote several articles on this.
