torn ligaments
Just wondering if anyone out there can give me info on how to buff up my legs after 4 years from a knee surgery with 2 screws in my right knee (powerlifting). My Dr. said I can only do shallow squats. I plan on going back on GH for a year.

I know all about knee injuries. I've had 6 total 4 on the right and 2 on the left. You can say a case of bad luck but I guess its a price you pay w/ playing football.
In both knee's I've torn my ACL, MCL, PCL and ripped my VMO in half in my left. Squats still give me a problem, but undoubtably they are the best for building legs. My doc, who is a real good source, says that squats will come into play when my legs get strong enough to bear the load and function normally. But for now, I do bear squats and leg press. I don't know if you have access to a bear machine there pretty rare mostly found in athletic facilities. They do a good job in imitating the squat and do a good job in keeping the range of motion nice and smooth.
