Can I do abs everyday?
I know you can do abs more than once a week, but I am wondering, I trian abs hard, so I was just thinking is it bad for me to train hard on abs everyday?

It all depends on your body. If you see results going everyday, than it might be ok. I always saw the abs as a muscle. Like any other muscle, they need a recovery period. I train my abs twice a week, but like i said, its what works for you.

I train abs almost everyday. I do upper abs one day, then the next day I will do my lower abs, and so on. This way I work the area harder and I'm not doing a ton of sets. 4 sets to failure and I'm out.

I like MudMan's idea on this. Yes you could get away with training them everyday, but it depends on you. I like to just train mine every other day.

Hey there,
I was training abs every day for close to a year. I had a 4 pac. I kept reading that it's like training other muscles, they need time for recovery but they do recover faster than most other muscles. I started doing them every other day and now have a 6 pack. Everybody's different but this is what worked for me.

My abs respond really well to training so I am cutting it down to only once a week so I get more of a taper. I was doing them every other day but then they started getting bigger and sticking out too much for me.
If you want to train abs every day just remember that that alone won't get you a 6 pack cardio is the key if you want to see tour abs.

What you eat has allot to do with it also. I stay away from sugar.

I do abs once a week just like all the other muscles.

It definitely comes down to your personal preference .. however, I find that anymore than twice a week takes energy away from the rest of my routine. I try to keep the same intensity throughout every workout, and not burnout on one particular group.

DO them every other day. As many have said already they do recover much faster than any other muscle.
