    Pullovers in the gym.

    1) Does anyone still do these oldschool? Longbar with 25s. laying on your back on a bench, head hanging over, like an upsidedown chinup pullup. Or does everyone use the machine now?

After finding this I see pullovers are a much needed item for my chest shape. My height and genetically wide shoulders make the lats not be the item to give me the V-shape. I need this part of the Pec.

Haven't done them in years but I sure did my share when I was younger. The thought of them now just hurts.

I don't do them with a BB but do DB pullovers after my bench training as a stretching movement. I use a light weight around 50-60 lbs to stretch the rib cage and shoulders. It allows for some really deep breathing when fully stretched out.

That's the old school way I used to do them as well.

I have my own breed, i use dumbells on a 45º bench incline, and lock my shoulders with the dumbell directly over my head and bend my elbows down putting most of the focus on my triceps. Works like a skull crusher but works the shoulders some too.

I appreciate the feedback guys. Our gym has 5 locations local. I will see if any of the other locations have a machine. I am too spent at the end of my sets to put my nose and teeth that close to the DB lol.

Use dumbells either singles to spot yourself or bilateral and just have the weight lowered down past the ear. That's the proper way to do it anyway.

Agree, use a single dumbell and try to wrap your back around the bench for an awesome stretch
