    Time off Working out?

For some reason I'm getting lazy and don't want to lift sometimes. Maybe it's because I'm still on PCT? It's been 4 weeks since I stopped the roids. Do any of you take time off lifting? When I take even 2 days off, I feel that my body is losing muscle and I feel unfit..lol...I've not really taken any times off lifting except the odd time when I'm too sick to work out, which only lasts a few days. Do you lift every day or workout one day, take day off, workout next day etc?

I listen to my body..if Iam starting to feel on the verge of injury, I take time..if Iam not recovering as well, I take time..mostly everyday though..although it's time for a extended amount of time off..I can feel it..

I know how you feel, even more so after a pct I feel the same way. Training wise I take weekends off and just do abs and calves then and focus on nutrition, though I still get a light pump training with 20lb dumbells, sometimes I take friday off also and just train longer thursday, if you feel you are going soft or taking time off bothers you just get a light pump at home so you can feel you are not going soft, it will ease your mind, works for me anyways. Good luck.

Nitrogen balance reducing in muscles mimics in many people symptoms like the flu. Right now your test level is nearing 0 and your estrogen is in range....you should feel like shatonastick.

When I get the..dont go to the gym or take my shot feeling I go to my house in the Philippines...turn off the lights turn on the Air Conditioner and sleep for 4-6 days as much as I can between meals. I run long cycles so I plan a week for this around week 16. Sleep Sleep Sleep eat eat eat. New man after a week.

Actually this time around, my PCT was not as bad my first one ( I was dead tired), except for night sweats, still having them which I understand is due to my body transitioning to it's own testosterone production. I think this will be my last time doing roids. With the right pre workout and eating enough, I don't see reason to be on it. It also made me angry and tense all the time. As for sleeping a lot, I can't. I work and get up at 5:45am and get home 12 hours later. (Commute times and work).

Keep in mind you recover and grow while your resting,,not in the gym. If I trained every single day I would end up overtrained and/or hurt. You need days off.

Personally, I don't ever take time completely off. I just dial back total volume and intensity by about 50% for a week if I start feeling like shit.

However, I'm the "diesel engine" kind of person. I take fucking forever to get started on something, but once I'm rolling, it's all torque. Better to let my engine idle to cool off, rather than shutting it down altogether.

I recently took a week off, due to a back injury. When I started back the next week I got extremely sore, as if I hadn't worked out in awhile, I think it did me some good.

Everyone should schedule a week or two out of the gym every year. A good thought is when you go away on vacation don't wast time and energy working out. Use that week to rest, recover and enjoy life. Good for the body and mind.

Posts like this remind me that I am the weird one.

No matter how brutal a lifting session, I never view it as "work", or a means to an end. It's my "me time"; my own daily escape from the world. For me, skipping it would make about as much sense as a stressed single mom skipping the opportunity for a night out.

Did I mention that I am extremely antisocial? Heh.

I work in the asphalt industry, so most of my coworkers are hunters. As a matter of fact, one of our foremen is on vacation this week, for that very purpose. Though in his case, it's whitetail he's after, not squirrels.

I just never could get into the modern "sit in freezing cold, wait, hope something walks by" method of lazy ass hunting. If I'm going into the woods, it's probably going to be for a several hours long hike.
