    Improving recovery time

36M I used to go to gym 6 days a week. Workout approximately 1-1/2 to 2 hour in gym. It didn't give any results and I was always sore. Recently took a step back to evaluate and was doing same routing only 3 days a week and I see major difference in weight loss as well as muscle definition. Any way I can improve recovery time ?

I did get blood work done and I am on the lower side of T levels too. Considering starting basic Test E only cycle.

    TIA

Results are going to come primarily from diet ; 80% diet, 10% training, 10% mental/sleep. Also if you are only lifting 3 days a week, consider switching to 4 days a week and spreading out exercises. Can also try increasing intensity and reducing volume. There isn't a cookie cutter formula, everyone is different. What works for me is going to be different than you, or John Smith, or anyone else. I'm on Year 7 of this journey and I still learn about my body every year.

You might consider losing 5-10# first, then a lean (controlled) bulk on cycle

Good advice but I would hesitate to put numbers on how much each thing helps. For example, you stated rest is 10% of the equation, but Insufficent rest can literally take your gains from great to zero, effectively robbing 100% of your gains!
