optimal muscle mass growth ?
i read something that said to achieve optimal hypertrophy you must use training principle such as superset, compound sets, giant sets etc. and only rest 60-90 seconds ! now what i dont uderstand is people say to gain the most muscle mass you must go as heavy as you can for say 6 reps but how can you do this if you're only resting 60-90 seconds and doing a superset ? can someone clear this up for me because im really lost as to how to train for "optimal muscle mass growth" !!!

I believe the rest only 60-90 seconds is so the blood doesn't leave the muscle.
I personally think the low rep range is more for increasing strength than size. I don't think I've ever gotten very much size doing 4-6 reps a set. But then again I could be mainly slow twitch fibers for all i know.

everyone is different. personally i believe the best scheme for gaining mass is a mixture of all the different types of training to keep the body guessing
and dont forget, to gain mass you need to EAT
