HUGE ABs
I know that the key to abs is a diet on point. okay so if the diet is key then what kind of training do some of you guys recommend to build big abs. Weighted crunches and situps or multiple high rep sets of crunches and situps. ????
Other kinds of exer. examples?

Speaking strictly in terms of philosophy, I don't think you should treat the abs any differently than any other muscle group. While you might occassionally blast the calves, pecs, etc, etc, with 30-50 rep sets for the shock value, you don't build a routine around it...yet many build their ab routine steadfastly around such rep ranges. I'm not implicating you as one of those individuals, but just wanted to get that out there as the one big truism about ab training.

Also, on the bottom of this very page...no search required whatsoever, is a thread containing a recent article on ab training that is probably worth looking at:

Most of my ab growth came from heavy compound movements without a belt. Squats, deadlifts, standing military presses, and my favorite, zercher box squats. I also like heavy standing cable crunches, but that's definitely secondary to the compound lifts.

Heavy weighted crunches is all I do to great effect.
