Anyone else have clicking in the shoulder?

when i train shoulders, namely lateral raises, in my left arm (throwing arm) i get a clicking noise with every rep

i'm guessing its a flap of damaged cartlidge or something from my years of baseball

will it be ok or should i find alternative exercises?

Years of baseball will show wear and tear on the shoulder joints. Could be a small tendon rolling over a bone, could be slightly damaged capsule. If it doesn't hurt when doing anything, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

KeyMaster is definantely right about this. If it dosnt hurt when you use it, its okay. I deal with people whom have this problem everyday. Actually alot of peoples shoulders pop when doing overhead presses, etc. I definantely wouldnt worry about it.

Mine do it on overhead press and other movements some times. As long as I dont abuse them they are fine.

Mine has clicked for as long as I can remember, every time I move it. I just make sure my form is correct when lifting so it doesn't cause pain.

    Ligament damage.

Shoulders are the first joint to go for most athletes and active people. They sure take a shitkicking for such an unstable joint. But a painless click is nothing to worry about. If it hurts at all, see a doc or physiotherapist.

Baseball shoulders here too, I have clicking every now and then but usually when I don't warm up enough. For me it's all about making sure the blood is circulating and the shoulders feel "lubed".

I had my shoulder dislocated 6 months ago from Tae Kwon Do. 2 months of physical therapy , no more Tae Kwon Do so i went back to lifting. My left arm is a hell of alot weaker then my right arm, and I feel a clicking when I do that as well, but it doesnt hurt. What happend to me is my ligaments, almost all of them, were shredded and ripped completely apart.
