    Shoulder Day

What is your favorite shoulder exercise?? Mine right now would be the laterral raises with dumbbells. I love feeling that burn.

I just need some ideas on how to get my shoulder routine a little variety.

    Thanks.

    i have 2 shoulder days:

    Shoulders and biceps
    Arnold press
    Lateral extension
    Barbell shrugs
    Rear lateral raise (rear delts)
    Seated dumbbell curls
    Reverse barbell curl

    Shoulders and biceps
    Barbell press
    Frontal barbell extension
    Upright rows
    Scapula pinch
    One arm preacher curl
    Cable curl

My favorite would probably be the dumbbell lateral raise as well. I have wicked veins all over my arms. Looks sick when I wear a cutoff in the gym and do anything with my arms.

I have a shoulder day all to itself.

lateral dumbells raises. I do these with my back arched, (ala' squat position) and I bring the dumbells a little bit behind my torso and twist them upright to get a little extra on the rear heads.

    Military press.

Seated, bent over, rear lateral raiases. Basically you sit at the end of a bench and lean forward so you are facing the floor. You then procede to do the opposite of a fly. Do these with you arms slightly forward from center and twist the dumbells so that your fists face up at the top of the movement. THESE KICK YOUR REAR HEAD'S ASS!! If you've never done them before, don't expect to be able to do more than 15 lbs for reps at first.

I like to focus on the rear heads because they are the most difficult to hit yet they are what give your shoulders the nicest look. They help to bring you posture back and make you look wider. Many guys have huge front heads and not enough back heads which makes for the ape look.

    Nixter.

I don't do any direct trap exercises. I have naturally big traps for some reason.

Lateral extension? Is it using cable machines?

What is the difference between lateral extension and rear lateral?

What is scapula pinch and how do you perform upright rows?
