wrist pain while doing biceps...
Whenever i train biceps, most specifically barbell curls and concentration curls i get pains in my wrists immediately after my set is done. Does anyone know what the cause of this pain is?

It is from tendon strain. Too much pressure on the tendons cause that kind of discomfort. Try using wrist wraps. Wrap your wrists tightly, but not to tight to cut of blood flow. You will find this helps to take some of the pressure off your forearms by constricting the tendons.

i used to have major pain while doing bb curls, i learned this little trick, when you put the par down, release your hands slowly, relaxing the muscles instead of just dropping the bar, never had pain after that, and after awhile, my hands/wrists strengthened up and didn't bother me anymore, give it a shot, may work for you too

khull khuum thanks for the info man, yeah that seems similar to what i've been experiencing... so what did you decide to do for your bicep workouts and how has that worked out for you?

Used to have wrist pains when doing preacher curls...
Thought the problem was weak wrists, so I worked the shit out of my wrists and forearms... it helped a lot, but taking my time and doing slow sets also helped a lot.
Remember, perfect control on your form and speed is everything. If it takes you 3 seconds to curl up the bar, it should take 3-4 second to bring it back down (gives the bi's and tri's a little extra burn!).
Just my experience of course... your mileage may vary

Keep your wrists straight and strap them.

I've had the same prob - always seems to hurt when i do a straight bar - if you haven't already, try th EZ curl bar - seems to be easier on my wrists...
other than that, like red said...try doing strenghtening exercises for your wrists/forearms - and try wraps. They didn't help me on straight bar (still uncomfortable) but it couldn't hurt to try

I had this problem with the barbell and ezcurl bar. Dumbbells seem to be much easier on the wrists for me. I also make sure I wear gloves with wrist support.
