Protein/Glutamine shake before cardio affect fat loss??
My friend has told me that in order to preserve muscle while dropping bodyfat, I should drink a protein shake mixed with l-glutamine before I do my cardio, whether its high intensity run or a long brisk walk.
My question is this. Will it be harder to get to fat deposits since there is something in my stomach or does the protein absorb and not affect fat loss??

Buy a bottle of glutamine from a nutrition store and mix a heafty teaspoonfull with a glass of water. You can hardly taste it. Do your run, and follow up with your shake and another teaspoon of glutamine. Solves the problem.

Fat-loss wont be effected by a protein shake in your stomach. And glutamine will help you process your protein better.. umongst other things. I always drink a shake before and after a workout/cardio session
