what is your favorite way to build up the lateral head on your triceps?
You mean the lazy head?
I generally just try to pack on mass on the tri's so I don't mess around with bull**** kickbacks and stuff like that. If you're try to target a specific head of the tri's you're just gonna be wasting your time. I stick to dips, close grip bench presses, and JM presses(of course you can switch between decline, incline, and flat) and of course extreme stretches.
i've got plenty of mass on my tri's. now i need to build up my lateral head.
anyone know of any excersizes that blew it up?
I really like the rope.....push it down then split your hands to each side, curve your wirsts up and hold to the count of 3......do this for 10 reps X 4 sets. you will be on fire!
Well I should rephrase that, it really is the lazy head, there really isn't a 'good' way to attack it. Therefore IMO, the next best way would be to use movements that IMO recruit many muscle fibers.Quote:

Before I had access to a guy, I could only use the free weights that I had at home. For about two years, I only did french curls/skulls/lying tricep extensions (whatever you want to call them). My lateral head was the most deminant feature of my tricep at that time.
I now incorporate many other exercises so my tris look more balanced. Give those a serious shot for a while would be my advice.
skulls are always a staple of my tri workouts, so is the rope(over head)
i'm reluctant to give dips a try because i do chest on a different day than tri's and it seems to be the consensus that dips work lower pecs as well, which is undesireable for my recuperation
anybody do reverse grip tricep pulldowns with your palms facing up??
I also work those into my rotation. I enjoy them.
