It depends on what cardio excercise you're doing. If you're running outside, it may be too much for your knees, hips, etc. If you're running on a treadmill, it may still be a bit much on your body. People say you should do cardio about three times per week, but that's mainly so your body can get over the pounding it takes while running. If you're doing low impact cardio then every day is okay. If you're doing high impact, then cut back some.
