    Bball instead of cardio

    2 day i ran on the treadmill early in the day................but this afternoon i plyed basketball and dam i was bustin my @ss swaetin like dawg winded what a workout.................would that be just as effective as my 45min on the mill

    i think it is more effective but it all depends on when in the day you do it

    The problem with basketball, unless you have a real genetic gift for keeping LBM, is that it's very likely going to put you past your ideal range of 65-70% MHR (give or take) for a time sufficient to initiate catabolism. So if the "look" you're after, or your goal is to maintain as much LBM as possible, basketball is likely going to push you over your threshold to do so.
