Crazy Pec D.O.M.S.
Whenever I work out my chest I get insanely sore for up to a week sometimes. I have progressively dropped my sets down to only 6. This happens to me even when on gear. I don't work my chest any more intensely than I do my other body parts but they don't get nearly as sore and they recover much quicker. Is there any particular reason for this? I couldn't even sleep on my side last night because it was squeezing my pecs together. Thanks for any imput.

Sounds to me as if you may not be warming up enough. And also stretching between sets helps dramaticly.

Gotta agree with Shredz, stretch..it allows more oxygen to get to your muscles etc etc...It does make a huge difference, i had simalar problems.

Cut back on volume, work more frequently, muscle soreness doesnt mean you cant train a muscle.

Oh, I was under the impression that it was counterproductive to work a sore muscle. Thanks for the help bros.

I light workout to pump more blood into a sore muscle will help the muscle recover more quickly, an ice bath, contrast bathing, and massage therapy all will help too.

water, strectching, and water...helps keep the soreness down to a min. If you can I waould recommend glutimine, about an hour before you go to bed.
