    Cardio 3x week

Is running on a treadmill 3 days a week enough to get a good cardio workout and to lose weight?

I don't have access to an eliptical all I have is a treadmill at my gym. Is 3 days enough? I have never ran before.

If you haven't been habitually doing cardio, 3x a week is enough for now. If your progress slows, then you should add some more sessions.

personally im not a big fan of running cuz you can burn muscle for energy which is bad....make sure that your heart rate is at 65-75% of max (220-age X .7) this is a good fat burning zone.

Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, THAT IS STRENGTH

Running sucks. Burns muscle as well as fat. Try high-speed walking or eliptical.
