    power cleans in leg workout

    any thought son throwing in a few sets of power cleans b4 i do my squats. i am a football plaer right now looking for mass in the offseason but the bovious benifits of cleans make me think i should add them in somewhere

    my split is
    day 1; chest/bis
    day 2; legs
    day 3; back/shoulders, tris
    day4; off
    day5; start again

    I would put them on back day.

    i do them and power snatch on leg days...good to get the heart rate up and still use legs if done properly.

    I'm with Longhorn....after a good set or three of cleans, I don't know that I could even have a squat bar in the general area of my upper back since it, among other parts of my body, is on absolute fire. Additionally, in the six months or so during which I've been including them regularly, I find they fit so nicely (for me) on back day. Whether done early or late in the workout, they seem to work well....i'm not going to argue with that success rate.

    i agree, i do cleans on upper body day, i do an upper/lower split routine
