    Powercleans anyone???

Just wondering if anyone does powercleans for mass. I've never done them but am planning on changing up the routine next week and thought about adding them. Suppost to be great for overall thickness and strength gains.

I used to do cleans all the time. It's a must in most sports. I think they helped my intensity levels because they are something that you pretty much have to go all out on or you won't get anything from it. Form is everything on them. I seen huge guys that struggle with 225 while small quick guys throwing up over 300 easily. Its really a lift you have to practice on a lot. I definitly think they could improve almost anyone though.

i did cleans for a few years. Hate them with a passion but man they work everything. In football we used to do clean to front squats and those would really get your ass in shape.

I have cleans in my Shoulder, and some Back routines.

I don't use them for Mass, just explosive Power for sports. I usually keep my reps on them no higher then 4. After that, it's just too taxing. When am I ever going to need to push that kinda weight around in sports MORE then 4 times? Never.

But I do them for power, not Mass.

Yea, same as these guys, did them for explosiveness back in the football days. Thinking about throwing them back in, just can't figure out which routine to put them in because i think it's a pretty compound excercise if you do it with good form. Give em a try.

I noticed delt action size wise. If you dont do em right, your back is foobard, and you look like a fool tryin to throw up all this weight above your head. FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS

You're talking about clean and press now. Power or hang cleans only bring the bar up to the shoulder.

i use them for mass. specifically get my back and my traps bigger. They are the perfect exercise with how many muscles it works. I still have not been able to get above 215 on them though.
