Help Bad Shin Splints
I've been suffering lately from bad shin splints from super heavy legpress,
my stats are I'm 5'7" and my feet have to be low on the platform, I figure it's
because my feet are so low that this causes the current problem, I've
been putting Ice and heat on them to lessen the pain.
Does anyone know how to make this annoying problem go away any
faster and less painful, without to much interuption to my workouts.

i get very bad shin splints during ski season from doing lots of jumping (i.e. hard landings.) if its from the leg press, i'm not sure my methods will work, but here goes: first you can tape your shins to provide added support, just make sure you use underwrap or shave your legs. also dr. scholls makes shock absorbent shoe cushions, but again these are dealing with shock and/or impact. the taping method should still help. do your feet have big arches or are you flat footed? sometimes people with flat feet suffer worse than others.

stretch
stretch your shins out....i play basketball and i had shin splints for a whole season before when i was in high school but i use to stretch them out this helped but never completely healed till i just stopped playing basketball so much .so you might start streatching them see if that helps and if not lay off of leg press.....jmo.....
