Veteran and Health Care
Alright everyone here is my question. I am a veteran of the Army and recieve health care benifits from the VA hospital because i am still a student and cant afford any other. My question is that i just got off a cycle of 16 weeks and i have been having chest pains at night when i lay on my stomach. I want to know if i would be able to go there and tell the docotr i having been using gear without getting my health care taken away from the government because technically i have 2 years left on my inactive reserve contract. All that means is i did my active dity time but for a few years extra i can be called up before they have a draft. LMK what is best to do cause these pains have been bad some nights and im kinda worried. Thanks

How old are you?
It is probably just anxioty
plus the doctor would not be able to give up your records without a court ordered subpeona

They are just civilian docs, not officers. They would tell you not to juice anymore and probably check you out to make sure your not ill.

No big deal, you do not have the same obligatioins on inactive reserves as you do on active duty. That is why you can grow your hair out, and don't have drug tests anymore. And the biggest factor, your not getting paid anymore.

Hey, I am a veteran too, in the IRR just like you. I don't use the VA healthcare system though. If I did, and was having issues like you are, I would probably use the VA to get checked out. I couldn't really see any of the VA docs or nurses going out of their way to fvck you.
Also, if you're like me, you don't ever want to get called up. If it came down to it and the VA did rat you out, so to speak, then you've got one more reason why the military calling you up is a bad idea.

I would go to the VA, just don't mention AAS use. Your problem is most likely caused by something else. Either way they can and will treat you.

I am a rated vet too at age 28. I told my doc that I was thinking about going on cycle and wanted to make sure that gear did not interact with other meds I was taking at the time. I got the standard response about liver, ect., but there is no way they will stick it to you.
Most of the docs are civilian contractors. Your GI bill cannot be revoked at all. That benefit was earned on active duty as well as the VA benefits. As long as you have an honorable discharge, you are golden with the VA and GI bill.
You have no obligation on IR.
