I am taking a life incurance policy on myself and they are coming to do bloodwork. Do they test for steroids when the run my blood?
hopefully there is an insurance or a financial planner who could help me out..

Im not sure about that. One thing to worry about though would be if your cholesterol and liver enzymes are raised because of the use of AAS. THose things might cause some troubles.Originally Posted by tcarn01
how do i counter act that??
My liver enzymes were high on my last bloodtest. Most use milk thistle to help bring those levels down. Im not sure if there is any scientific proof that it works, but many swear by it. I always use it after a cycle. As far as the cholestrol, dont think there is much you can do there. Usually your HDL will be real low and your LDL will be a little high.Originally Posted by tcarn01
Im a MD but not involved w ins testing. I do know however that they test for an extensive list of stuff. If your using certain steroids like DECA and they test for it your basically screwed because it will stay in your system for about a year. It would be nice to hear from someone involved in the ins industry for their point of view.
No they will not test for steroids... I have 1,000,000 policy on me.. they will however rate you and charge larger premiums if you are not healthy..
testing could include EKG and full physical if it's a larger amount..
good luck..
