BW results...54 years old considering first cycle ever

I'm considering a cycle once BF is as low as possible. Probably around new years.

BW came back today. This is from PersonalLabs online. No MD has reviewed the results. The only "flag" was serum glucose, which is pre-diabetic from what I found on the net. I recently quit drinking alcohol after many many years, and dumped everything unhealthy in my diet. My nutrition and workout regime are dialed in pretty tight. So I'm not overly concerned. It will come down quickly...I will monitor it closely.

I guess all other results are within normal ranges.

I welcome any obseravations and recommendations.

I'm assuming you were fasting before your lab draws but anyhow, your Glucose is "borderline" high (pre-diabetic) and this is very common at your age. You can still fix it with proper diet and regular exercise. Get a glucose monitor to keep track of your progress.

Cholesterol looks high specially your LDL (bad cholesterol). You need to lower your LDL and keep the HDL (good cholesterol) high. Again diet will aid here.

Your PSA looks very good. No worries here if planning to cycle. Now when you do cycle make sure to keep an eye on your PSA and also your Hematocrit. Testo will or might elevate this.

Total Test is definitely low, again age is a factor here, however it doesn't have to be this way. A good TRT doctor/specialist should be able to help.

By the way, what is your goal?

Hello DosXX and thanks for the observations. I've made drastic changes with nutrition in the last couple of months. I fully expect the borderline BW results to improve month over month. Also I've completed almost 8 rounds of the P90X workout over the last two years, so I'm already in pretty good shape. But for further improvement it was pretty clear alcohol and poor nutrition had to go.

My goal is get my BF as low as possible, and put back on muscle. Right now I'm 180 lbs 5'-9". End of the year I will be 160 no problem. Thats when I intend to change to more of a body builder workout regime. A friend at my golf club is same height and frame as me. The guy is 62 and ripped, a life long athlete. Lean but very muscular. Thats my goal.
