Newbie on blood tests,help

I'm really interested in getting a blood test after reading the sticky everything to do with blood work, but I have a ton of questions.

1. Is getting blood work expensive?
2. How often should it be done/checked?
3. Do you get results immedistely or do they mail you a copy of the blood test?
4. Would they do everything needed like free test, total test, estradiol, and everything else or do you need to ask for specific things to be included in it.

1- blood test are free at public medical centers
2- depends what you are getting checked? could range from every 2 or 3 months
3- results take 3-4 days. when you get blood test the nurse will ask which doc you want results sent to. just say any doc is fine. then go back 4 days and ask to see any doc then ask to see blood test results
4- the FIRST step is to see a doc and tell them what you want to be tested for. then they will right out some paper work for you. give the paper work to the nurse when she take ya blood.
