Estrogen Testing
Hey guys and gals. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.
I'm get blood work done prior to cycle which I intend to start after the New Year. Naturally I'll be requesting a complete hormone panel for males but had a couple questions regarding estrogen and wanted to run it past you all.
1) What should normal/average levels of estrogen look like in a normal, health adult male with no prior AAS use? I realize we're all different but again speaking of norms and averages.
2) Do I specifically ask for a "male specific estrogen essay" as part of this blood work or will that be a normal component of the male hormone panel?
Thanks everyone.

1. 25-40 (depending on the lab)
2. Male Sensitive Assay

Mickey. I recently got my estrogen checked but didn't specifically ask for male assay. Should a doc know that or are there two different tests completely?

I feel i have a fundamental understanding on this, but for an accurate and detailed answer i would PM kelkel, or Vettester, or Gdevine, one of the other pros from the HRT Forums. They can give you a better answer than i can on this issue. I just don't want to give any advice that im not 100% familiar with.
But i do believe they are two separate tests, and sadly most docs do not test males properly.

From what I understand you have to select "sensitive" I wouldnt assume anything as far as if you think they will catch it or not.
