    First Blood Panel

    Hey Everyone,
I want to start lining up everything before my first "starter" cycle. I have been reviewing a variety of websites that offer blood panel work. Is it adequate, in your opinion, to get the "male hormone test panel"? Most of the sites have the same things tested (some that I found were $40-50 cheaper didn't test Lipids, PSA and IGF-1. From one site (that I found on here, not on google) they offer:

    Thyroid Profile w/ TSH
    Complete Blood Count w/ Differential
    Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
    Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA)
    Estradiol Sensitive
    Testosterone (Free), Serum With Total
    Lipid Profile
    Insulin Growth Factor (IGF-1)

This is what seems normal for this panel of testing (running around $170-180). So.. my question is, will this test be adequate for me to establish my baseline before I start a cycle? Thanks for helping out.

It's a good idea especially if you dont have on to know what your base line levels are.
I like to do the baisc test that only checks Test and E2 about 4+ weeks into cycle. It's only $60 but you then know what your Test levels are and E2 so there is not doubt your test is real and you are not having E2 issues.

Yes then about 4+ weeks after PCT

Thanks a lot everyone, that even answered my next question I was going to ask about mid-cycle bloodwork, necessary (?) esp if at $170 a pop. But I see there is a cheaper test that will suffice for mid-cycle basics.. You guys rock!

Yep. Healthy12 just knocked off 12% on the hormone panel for males. (Wish I'd have typed healthy 99)
    Thanks for the tip.
