HYPERCALCEMIA... Anybody else deal with this?
Does anybody else deal with hypercalcemia? What has your doctor done for you? Is it related to your parathyroid ?

My calcium levels have been constistantly elevated for 3+ years now, not related to my parathyroid hormone and my doctors don't know what to do :-(

What was your parathyroid hormone(PTH) level? Look at parathyroid.com it's a website for the Norman parathyroid clinic, hands down the best place to go for a parathyroid problem. How's your vit D level?

Yes, parathyroid is the first thing that's looked at.
Thyroid produces 3 things, T3, T4 and Calcitonin. Calcitonin's job is to lower the activity in the presence of elevated Calcium.
The above process is degraded when iodine is deficient. So you've got a few things to chase around here...~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

I have to deal with sarcoidosis so i have had issues with hypercalcimia. My doc just said to avoid the sun, stay away from calcium sups, foods high in calcium, and vit. D, but he encouraged me to up my water so as to help flush my system and avoid kidney stones. Good luck
