BIB, yes I know, put it it down to ignorance, my blood results did not come with test ranges, (I have posted exactly what s on the result sheet), so I thought I would post in other places to see if anyone understands what results I have been given.
All I know is I have been told that the test range is between 9 and 39, it has taken me weeks to get this much from my gp. I would need to start over again with another gp and would prob end up with the same printout. Anyone know how I can find out the ranges ?
My free test was at 11 whatever that means and serum test was 12.8 ?
Are not recommended ranges the same for everyone, dependant on age.
I am probably completely missing the point, can someone spell it out to me, idiot fashion.

The lab that carried them out will know the ranges but may not tell you. This is indicative of the poor quality of service from most GPs over here. Not all labs use the same measurements and not all labs use the same ranges. Ask your Dr if he can get the ranges from the lab. Without them your numbers don't mean that much to anyone.
