    My blood works

This is what I just got back, too much to type so I screenshot it.

Doctor says my Test level is low, said severe stress can cause cortisol to interfere with it's levels, and I have been extremely stressed for the past few months, but I asked how much difference would it make
and he was not sure ?

I also asked if it was because I was hung over, he wasn't sure about that either. (only day I could book in the get the test done, and work has drinks on the night before)

Without ranges it's tough to give an opinion. Yes, cortisol can suppress LH function. There's no way for your doc to be "sure" how much as it's not a linear suppression. To many factors involved. Yes, alcohol can also temporarily suppress testosterone levels .

Watch this video, it gives a great explanation of how little changes can have dramatic differences in your cholesterol pathways that result in testosterone production:

Thanks man I'll have a look at it during my lunch break. On a side note I had my first injection last night (into quad) sweating bullets prior, but I did everything right I guess, hot shower before to relax the muscle, let the vial sit in warm water for 10 minutes blah blah. Bang it went in
like butter and didn't feel a thing, I felt the friggen needle from the blood works more than this. Injected slowly, let it sit for 30 seconds after and then pulled it out fast. It's a little tender now, but not much.

You mentioned in another post advising me to put my hCG in with my test, it's hard on a 3ml syringe to measure 0.25ml, I guess I gotta draw the Test first then the hCG ? I'm sure these sound like captain obvious questions, but I just rather be sure.

Another thing, I could not sleep all night. Outta a possible 7.5hrs I got a broken 2hrs. This just doesn't happen. I always sleep soundly for a solid 7-7.5hrs. Maybe adrenaline got pumping during the injection and kept me up ? I don't know I'm not a science guy I'm an I.T guy (different science) Any thoughts ?

Boofhead how old are you? I ask as you didn't mention your doc wrote you a script to begin TRT and right now it appears a bit preemptive. Meaning it seems your doc did nothing to find out what the actual causative factor was and correct it. Instead he used testosterone as a band aid leaving the underlying root cause alone. Make sense?

Many things can cause low T and if you're a younger man I'd think you'd want to know why there's an issue. If you're older then it could just be "your time" and appropriate. Either way, your doc should discuss this more in depth with you. I'd hate to be put on TRT without a clear conscience and understanding that it is needed. Tell us more if you can please.

To your questions, it's normal to have anxiety prior to self-injecting for the first few times. I'm personally not a fan of the whole shower, warming up test, etc as in my opinion it's just more time to think about what you're about to do and get even more anxious. Load, pin, get it done and move on. Re HCG , starting out I'd probably recommend you just use a slin pin and inject in belly fat. When more comfortable move to the same pin as your test.

Not sleeping could be a bit of lingering anxiety. Inject earlier in the day next time.

    What is your full protocol?

I'm 31, been training 10 years ex oly lifter turned power lifter.

My doc has no idea I just went to him for the tests, out here its free so they don't ask many questions. His only suggestion was come back in a few weeks we can run another for Test and see if its any different.

I said nah dont worry about it because I knew I would be on the cycle by then and obviously test levels will be vastly different.

The protocol I followed is exactly as described in the forum posts here, first cycle recommendations, what to do pre and post injection e.t.c

So you started a cycle knowing you had low testosterone and not knowing the reason why?

    Great.

    Good luck!
