Free test vs total test
There’s a lab in my area that does blood work and I checked out what tests they offer. For testosterone it’s only listed as “Total Tesosterone”. I am considering possibly using them for pre cycle blood work in the future.
My question is would “Total testosterone” suffice for a baseline pre cycle testosterone reading or would I need blood work that specifically breaks it down into “free testosterone” and “total testosterone”?

Check out www.discountedlabs.com or www.privatemdlabs.com
They normally have packages set up that make it easy for you. You can get by with total T but know that FT is what works for us.
Basically you need the following if possible:
TT
FT
LH
FSH
CBC
CMP
LH/FSH is indicative of pituitary function which is what you will be re-starting during pct so getting this baseline is imperative imho.

I had looked on those websites before and they were pretty expensive I think the lab near me offers all those tests but it’s ala carte so it may end up costing more to add those on vs getting a package deal on those sites.

Privatemdlabs is what I use. I can always find a 10-15% code on the web. Look at 'female hormone panel with sensitive'. Doesn't matter you're a guy. Gets most everything. Then I sometimes add stuff like prolactin if doing tren .
