    The Original Walking Tall

Now, I realize this movie was probably made before a lot of you here were even born..But last night I rented the original "Walking Tall" and it was pretty **** good..And can that sucker take an ass whippin..Sheriff Buford T. Pusser is one tough mother..He got shot on two seperate occasions, once at close range by a .45 cal, then later in the movie with a machine gun..That was all after he was carved up like a Christmas turkey in the first 30 minutes of the flick..If you like oldies that are classics, then go and rent this one..

I really really wanted to see this movie but all I keep hearing is how bad it sucks. How much did it stay true to the real story?? I know in hollywood, "BASED on a TRUE STORY" to them means: An ex marine goes home and becomes sherriff. Hollywood then makes it out to a gun fight and a kidnapping of his wife and killing of the dog etc.
