living alone sucks
well all this week my house has been empty. saturday till saturday. everyone in my house decided to go to florida and i didnt want to go cause id rather stay home and make money. well all i can say is that living alone sucks, im bored as sh-t and almost feeling depressed. i come home from the gym, eat some food and then just either sit on my couch or go to my room to watch tv in my bed. today i went and washed my car but it still is just boring. i hope i never have to live alone permantly cause this sh-t is for the birds. i used to think to myself that i liked being alone but now all i can think about is how lonely this is. boy i wish i had a steady girl or GF

Dude, the grass aint always greener on the other side. Been married and living with my wife for 2 years now. Sometimes I just wanna go home and be alone, instead my wife is freaking suffocating me and hanging all over me. Always up in my face asking me stupid **** like do you love me? I love her but ****.

Living with a bunch of roomates is not something I would want at this point in my life. If you have a buddies and/or a GF your house will almost never be empty unless you want it empty.

Coming home and knowing NO ONE is gonna be there is AWESOME. Nice and quiet. Walk around naked, do whatever you want without annoying anyone else. Clean up the house at 3 am, play the stereo as loud as you want at 3 am. If you are lonely, GO OUT. You dont have to have people inside your house. Go to where they are.

I lived alone for four years, I mean not shacking up for a week or anything. It did suck as far as I was concerned. Get a dog, that helps.
It only really sucks late at night when you can't sleep and are layin alone in bed. We all need some form of contact with others. I remember when I lived alone I was one of those huggers, hug hello , hug goobye. I missed people. Nothing wrong with feeling that way bro.

I am having the same problem this week... I have 4 roommates (we have a big house) and they are all underway (all in the navy) and I am sitting here scratching my nutz all night.
We are all best buds, we usually roll as a crew. All my other friends are pussing out from doing anything, so i am stuck watching HBO in demand each night.

I loved living alone. Coming home to my own place, not having to answer to ANYONE! Could do what I want, when I want and with who I want.

I know how you feel. I had my brother's golden retriever with me for this past year of college. He had epilepsy. So i decided id take care of him, try to re-teach him all the things he had since forgot from having seizures. It was all going great. I brought him home about 2 weeks ago, and last week thursday at 9:50am he died while having a seizure. Made no sense to me, he hadnt had one for 6 months or so. The last time he had one was after a flea bath, so i figured it was the chemical, I avoided them. Kinda rough for me, he was like a best friend to me. I lived by myself, and with no girlfriend it was tough. Making myself sad here. No matter what time of day he just wanted to play, even if he was sleeping and I was awake, hed still want to please me.
Ugh.

Agreed.
When ya live by yourself, your home is your castle. No gripes about toothpaste, or what you think is missing from the 'frige, or seeing funny hairs on the commode seat.
No one nagging/smothering you for attention, free to space out or whip up a batch of fina or whatever. Cool-o-rama . . .
I wouldn't mind retiring to an apartment building that I owned with my best friends renting out the other spots . . . with a nice pool and backyard area, ya, that'd be ok.

Call me unsocial or just call me unspontaneous if Im not the one making the plans but:
If ANYONE comes to my house without calling me first, I will NOT answer the door. They know my number and they know NOT to show up without calling me. That is the absolute worst thing having people show up at my house expecting to go out spur of the moment.
Dont get me wrong, Im not a hermet and I do enjoy hanging with friends and socializing. I just like to be the one who decides when I do it.
There were those years when it was just a party house and people were always there. 3, 4 am, people would be up playing playstation, front door wide open, the couch moved DIRECTLY infront of the tv so no one would walk infront of the game.
Half the time, I wouldnt even know half the people over.
Im not sure which life style I enjoy more......But it is either one or the other. No one week quiet, then the next noisy.

I wish i could live alone, Living with people is a pain in the a$$, everyone is always making noise and pissing me off. Living alone allows you to do whatever you want without worrying about anyone else.
