whats the deal with...
all these clowns being mods and admins at various boards? i mean i understand that some of the time its more of what you know. But some of the time its a popularity contest. So its more of who you blow. GIVe a mod position to a post whore so they can try to bring others to thier respective boards. Give me a break. Half these guys don't know much more than i do. You guys know who you are. But luckily the more time you spend on the boards you know who is full of **** and who actually knows wtf they are talking about! And there are quit a few guys w/ tons more knowledge who don't seem to get the props they deserve.
I ain't hatin, just letting newer bros know that titles don't equal gospel!

I think they do a good job of selection here. At least watching for almost 2.5 years who was given the opportunity to be a mod or vet, it seems a good job is being done. Maybe not other boards but I don't go to any other.

They do a **** good job of mod selection here IMO. I only check out a couple of other boards just for the hell of it. AR is where I will always come for AS, training and diet info because it is number one. I love the Lounge here but some of the other boards have good lounges too, mostly cause they are more lenient with what is posted.

If by chance that anypart of that was aimed at me. I will defend myself with this.... I choose only to help out other people based on my own expieriences only!!! not to answer every single question on this forum even though I may know the answer. Besides Dabull's got that pretty much covered and I agree that alot of other people that do have more expieriences dont get the credit that they deserve..but I cant do anything about that.

Mass your from Miami?? Ha ha I didn't know that.
I'll be down there at the end of July. I'll have to Pm ya and find out some info about the club scene cuz I think my friend that lives there is clueless.
And just so I'm not hijacking this thread: I think the MODS on this board do a really good job on selecting VETS and MODS. Other boards aren't so good. That's why AR is the best :-)

There are a lot of deserving members on this board who will be great MODS and VETS on other boards. There is only so much room on a board for MODS and VETS so I think it is great other boards see the talent here and ask them to share there knowledge. I think most admins look for integrity, knowledge, and temperment to pick those capable of handling those positions. I only hope we can keep those on other boards sharing their knowledge here as well.

Moderators are not the same as VETS in my opinion. Moderators are here to keep the board running smoothly and to sort of maintain some order. VETS IMO are the ones with the knowledge and answers most others dont. Dont get me wrong, mods do know their stuff.
I was also thinking the same thing about the message boards and how the same people are mods and vets on 10 other boards. Its almost as if a board is afraid to select unkown people for mods and vets so, instead they go to other boards and just recruit out of safety. If they have the time to read through posts on all those sites everyday, thats fine by me.
Just as long as they let me know who the scammers are and are not, I will be happy.

AR definitely seems to screen a lot more than other boards - especially new boards. AR has been around for awhile and can be more selective... new boards are trying to create dedicated members overnight by giving them a lot of control. IMO - boards only need to be started with an Admin, a Super Mod, and a couple Moderators to lead the way... and Vets to steer conversation into constructive comments. And then maintain a percentage of members in these positions... some boards have way too much "leadership" for the amount of registered members... it just seems like a cluster fuk... but whateva works...
In the end - the titles mean sh!t... you know who you can trust and who knows what they are talking about by simply searching a boards archive... and how they post...

AR is a great board and has great Super Mods/Mods/Vets and lots of others who have a lot of experience as well. DaBull/MudMan/Einstein/JohnnyB/Mass/Bdtr/Swolecat/Mallet are all great mods just name a few off the top of my head... Then we have the regular "Members" who know a lot as well... I wouldn't trust any other board for info unless it was Mass's board that has a lot of us over there... These people made me feel safe about making decisions as I was coming into my own... You can only read so much about AAS the rest has to come from practical experience that a lot of these guys have. Lets not forget Diet, timing, pct, workouts, Lab stuff, There is tons of good guys and knowledge on this board

Mass suck a dick and yes i was referring to both you and da homo. and yes you two are both on my ignore list. i just got sick and tired of sifting thru ur bullsh1t. its like you guys got diarrhoea thru your fingers. and Calipso owning me? thats the funniest sh1t i have read from you in the last 6 months. granted you been on my ignore for about that time.
i ain't trying to be "the" internet tough guy, but honestly i wouldn't listen to what either one of you have to say even if you were delivering free gear!

kato, chill the **** out bro, if you dont like someone, thats fine, after all this is the net, not expected to life everyone are we? the best part is, we can all differ in opinions and still live amongst the same community!!
Some people get into popularity contests, some people know less than others but so what, its how we operate as a team, and having been involved in the choosing of almost every mod, smod and vet i know we watch carefully who we give what position to, and there are quite alot of factors to it.
one funny comment i found in this thread
You dont ask a fat person how to loose weight do you
just cos someone is fat, doesnt mean they dont know anything or cant direct someone else thats not how it works here
we pick mods based on temprament, attitude, patience and many other things, also knowledge is helpfull.
Anyway just wanted to add my comments to this thread, hope you can all calm down, dont want a war or the thread will just be locked down, please keep it calm
peace

How about let's drop this petty trash.
I think a person who is selected to be a vet should know the deal. They are the number one advice giver.
I think a person who is selected to be a mod should be someone who is tolerant of others, yet understands where to draw the line. a moderator should actually moderate these types of discussions. They should be able to overlook minor skirmishes and avoid silly fights. They are the people who police the board (as the staff here at AR has already said...knowledge doesn't hurt either).
Yes the proliferation of boards has sprung about some over night mods....myself being one of them.
I feel confident enough in my ability that such derogatory remarks...whether directed toward me or not...have little effect on me. My skin is thicker than that.
I will say you have a point about the recent mod explosion. I agree. I don't think it is a bad thing....if you are smart enough to do steroids , you are smart enough to get your information from more than one source. As I alredy said, the role of a mod is actually to police the boards (unfortunately we end up soing some babysitting from time to time...but that is part of it)...no that was not directed at anyone in this thread in particular...just a point.
Relax guys...let the petty stuff roll off your backs.
