i wouldnt put it that way. This would be more accurate, "its like selling my maserati to get a nissan skyline gtr!" i'd pick the skyline anyday mv is not a ferrari! ducatti, aprilia and bimota could be. Aside from mv's racing heritage, tradition and legacy, their current bikes are not as good as the other italian makes. That is why i am selling it, i wouldnt however part with my falco fighter 1000rr now thats a wicked bike

Funny, was thinking about starting a thread like this....

All my roommates and friends have gixxers, but I sold out and got an aprilia mille factory last week.

Have only ridden dirt bikes before this, but figured I might as well get a nice bike if I am gonna lay down the cash.

great bike, i test drove the mille edwards r, insane bike only thing i dint like was the extra uncomfortable riding stance. its more prominent in the aprilia's street class than others. so i opted to get the falco fighter r, more comfortable stance and the engine is identical to the mille.

I was not trying to reference performance, though i admit it sounded that way.......Up here in MN I have never seen an MV on the street...seen a thousand R1's....same goes for Bimota..not a 1.....aprilia and ducatti guys up here tend to have more money than skill so I am kinda biased.....I guess I like to stand out from the crowd

You don't like the stance? I think it's better than the gixxers, IMO.

Oh, OK... since you put it like that.....

Besides, no one said it was going in a straight line... don't know how the traffic is over on that side of the pond but here in San Diego there's not much chance for straight lines.

bro the mv was my 3rd italian bike, sold my ducati last year. im sick of the way they are so temperemental. iits a trick bike to be seen with but im not all too happy with the handling. yes its one of a kind. its prestigious but its handling cannot compare with others. also by me selling it i get to get the r1 and have some dough to spare

bro you should change your pipes to the carbon fiber ones, they have a lot of cheap carbon accessories for r6.

Well it already has a vance and hines pipe on it. So its aftermarket. I dont think its the best pipe because i dont like the way it looks but it is loud. Anyway i am still trying to pay that bike off so i think i am going to hold up until then on any mods i do to it.

Spoon we should go out riding. You can ride my r6 and i'll ride your MV. There are no mv's or ducatis or anything other than jap bikes where i live. So to have an MV here would be the ****.

yeah man if your happy with the sound then its cool. i usually notice the sound in a bike before anything else. nothing beats the sound of a jap bike whinning in red line.
