Schindler's List
I watched this for the second time late last night..Man, what a **** great film..Long, but well worth it..It is definitely not for you impatient people, but if you want to see what man kind is truly capable of on both sides of good and evil, then it is a must see..I think it is a movie that should be mandatory in school..Check it out!

Wow, you know I was thinking about the film in work this evening, in a round-about way. I watched Saving Private Ryan, and just before it I'd read the news paper where it showed the 5 American soldiers K.I.A. yesterday, fallen beside their HUMVEE. I was drawing parallels between them both, and thought what was the saddest film I'd ever seen. Its a toss up between Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan and The Pianist. Needless to say I came away with a heavy heart.

I haven't seen the pianist... is is a remake of "Playing for time"? (the story of a Jewish pianist who was spared the gas chambers at the last minute so she could perform for nazi top brass?)

good film. i saw it years ago, recently bought it on DVD..i love how it was done in black and white..adds a different touch to the film...brings to the mood. Ralph Finnes, who played Amon Goeth, did a great job fitting that role.
