european eurail riders

any of you ride inter-country very often and if you do, are there check points or something similar to customs? i will be living in paris this fall and i want to bring some **** from turkey via the rail. any danger? or closer countries than turkey with available ****?

never rode a train to another country. But Im pretty sure there are no custom checks betwen EU coutries. Not 100% sure thought so you have to dubbel check that.

Hmmm not so sure about that....

When I last took the ferry from the UK to France there were 2 exits... "EU Passport holders" with no customs checks, and "Non EU Passport" which had full customs (though when they saw my Canadian passport, they didn't even bother opening it... I had to ask them to stamp it!!!).

I have been on the eurail several times and from my experience they are only searching for hard drugs. especially now with the eu they are a bit stricter as oppossed to in the 90's. just be careful

You'll be ok bringing steroids through Europe. From Turkey PM Dutch_Windmill and get advice from him, he's been there recently.

It depends largely on where are you going/coming from..TrenItalia checks a few- **** guardia di finanzia has their paws into everything lately...if you have been to Slovenia, Romania, croatia or Greece, and the officers know- passport/customs stickers- they tend to serach- but other than that-EU to EU is easy.

its a case to case basis, you cant really tel. you could be really lucky and get away with it or you could be at the wrong place at the wrong time for a spot search. just be careful i wouldnt risk it.
