Guys..I am in need of a very good pop up blocker for my laptop..It is ridiculous to the point that the ads are driving me insane..Anyone have any suggestions?

First, have you tried running some anti-spyware apps?
Second, I just updated Yahoo Instant Messenger and it came with an optional pop-up blocker. It's working surprisingly well, alhough I've had to turn it off once in a while to open up some pics posted on AR.

Yeah gotta agree the free Yahoo one works much better then
I would have thought... Blocks everything, you can also set it
to allow pop-ups from sites you allow like AR...

Yes, I have been running ad-aware for a long time and then just recently started using spybot..I also was using the google toolbar pop up blocker but it is mediocre at best..I will give the yahoo one a try..Thanks!

I do all my browsing with Opera... has a built in popups blocker.
For the 1% of times where I use IE, I turn on the popup blocker in ZoneAlarm Pro.

You should consider running a 3rd party spyware application and not rely on Google or Yahoo programs. It is possible you have a virus, do you update and run your anti virus software frequently? Oh yes, I almost forgot, stop downloading so much porn the stuff is full of viruses.

Give ZoneAlarm a try like the guys above suggested. I used to use it and it will definitely suppress popups but I ditched it for a Sygate firewall. ZoneAlarm is effective but I felt it 'talked' to me way too much if I had the security settings how I wanted them. Another option is using Opera like Red suggested, browser with built in popup guard, but I am guessing you would rather continue using IE or Netscape? Yeah, I tried to quit porn once........didn't work.
