35 murders in Detroit most were probably drug related or brought on by the victoms. The amount of Americans living in Detroit is far more than the amount in Iraq so the numbers are inacurate. War also affects ppl in other ways besides being killed, many vets of war descibe it as hell. If all those troops were home there still would have been 35 murders in Detroit and none in Iraq. The Germans planned to come for us eventually as did Iraq but the Germans were getting much closer to their goal. Wars will happen though, they are inevitable, history has prooved this.

Ok, first off we have spent more money on war since the 2000 elections then on education. I think if we spent more money on education we could help eliminate some crime. There are many more things we can spend our tax money on then a ****ing war that we have no business fighting. All of this could help our country.

So I guess the war in Afganistan after 9/11 was a waste of money, huh? Ok. Lets stop spending money on intellegence and the military, and when the terroists, Saddam, Kim Jong Il, or Iran who was left unchecked by anyone because we didn't care, come and unleash some unGodly event upon us we can sit back and say, "well, our children are well educated...but thier all dead". I'll tell you one thing I do, I'm a FF/paramedic who depends on overtime to survive but when bush has his way and gets 60 hour work weeks so the rich make more and the lower and middle classes make less that will all change. Thanks pres, good luck in your next election

There are people that get up at 7 am or whatever time, go to work, 8 hours later they go to their next job, so they can feed their kids. Lets say this person is a single mother. So thats 16 hours a day that she isnt home supervising her kids, they are being educated by the street, they grow up to do what they were taught "at home".
