    is it legal?

hey guys i go to my gym to work out today and i come to find out they shut down because they were behind like 3 grand in rent for the gym...now since it shut down can they just shut down without giving a refund ? i just put down 200 bucks for the year a few months back and now its lost...is there something i can do to get my money back or should i just forget it? the worst part is they never gave nobody warning about being shut down...

They will likely have to file for bankruptcy. The problem is that if there is no money to give, you're SOL. Usually, courts put employees at the top of the list of who gets paid first. Then creditors are taken care of - you're a creditor. You'll be lucky to get a portion of your money back, but if they can't even pay rent, don't count on it.

HA HA. Considering they went broke, they weren't making any profits. Two times zero is zero.

hehe true, but some gyms never update their eqpt or the staff are jerks so everyone starts leaving, has happened to two gyms i used to workout at, luckily i left before they went out of business, cant really go wrong with Gold
's gym though...the manager of mine is a high roller...always has a nice car in the lot, must be doing something right..
