I am just joking, I didn't mean I laugh at the sport. I've many friends at the gym who are nothing BUT powerlifters, and I have a ton of respect for what they do. They bench RAW however for what they call "true pride" or "real weight", and they also do meets w/shirts and all that. I could never lift that amount with 3 of those shirts on, :lol:, so yes that does take talent/power/etc.
My point was that there is just too much room for making the lifts not really a "lift" anymore. The distance the bar travels is NOT one that is benefitial for muscular shape/work/etc., then again that is not the goal. Then you have the shirts that all help to varying degrees, the unusual postures that are taken, etc. I respect what they do, yes, but to me it's just not my gig.
