I like making flame-thrower kits for exhausts on cars... so much fun, as long as you don't have catalytic converters.... I can do them for under 50 bux

Each of us already has two potato guns. They launch about 1000 ft. I made a panzershreck to launch rockets out of on 4th of July. It was sweet, face shield and all.

    How did the neighbours react?
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No one was out. I actually have one neighbor across the street who would probably jism in his pants if he saw it. When I built a potato gun last summer, his immidiate reaction was to tell me "HAY! you can get that to fire flaming golf balls if you do it right, you know!" When he sees this on the Fourth of July, he'll probably give me some similar piece of advice along the lines of "You know, you could fire it at that tank of gas over there, and the the GAS TANK WOULD TOTALLY EXPLODE TOO!"

This particular neighbor has been arrested for selling anabolic steroids, btw.

Now the whole rig was ready for some pressure testing. Since I would soon be running the distinct risk of giving myself heat-assisted, deep tissue exfoliation, I was extra-careful to make sure there weren't any leaks. I used up a lot of Teflon tape.

EXCELLENT ! Buck Rogers Magnetronic Tube Ray Guns made from microwave components and Powdered Sugar Powder are fun too. Field expedients like this flame thrower are great to know about just in case. They're like ANFO or Oxygen First Aid-- I think the alcohol fuel was really smart for hot days and one could always lace it with oil. I bet that thing looks awesome on the Revenuer's/Taxman's LandSat pic collection-- they'll probably raise property taxation rates as a WEAPONS PROVING GROUND ! ha !

Well since I changed my major at NIU to kinesiology, I needed to pick up two classes , chem and psych, as pre req's to other classes for my upcoming sophmore year, DUDE. I will be 20 on 6 Sept, cleverly marked in my profile.

Well, I'm 46 years old and I can head-butt a telephone pole at 35 mile per hour and still eTalk on this forum. This is a great thread. I'm doing independent self-taught summer school this summer. This site is part of my curriculum. I'm thinking seriously about a diet because my food is running out-- I may go kill something to eat. If I use a flame-thrower I can cook it while I'm hunting and perform deep tissue exfoliation. Somehow, I don't think the flame-thrower is going to replace the BBQ.
The worst thing about summer is that good road kill is hard to come by-- just doesn't last as long in this heat...
