Has anyone used modafinil (alertec) for treatment of ADD or narcolepsy?

I've been diagnosed with ADD, and abhor stimulants like adderall. I was wondering if anyone here has used modafinil for this purpose, or narcolepsy, or even as a study aid. If you have done so or know someone who has, can you clue me in on their experience?

have you looked into stratera??? that will probally be the route I am going

I have not. But i will start looking. I'm also considering trying out desmopressin, which is typically used for diabetes insipidis (sp?) but has shown promise in amnesia patients.
