Question for sharp dressers like myself.
I take my wardrobe very seriously. Call me vein I don't care. I keep up with all the trends, styles, etc. I got subscribtions to GQ and The Source, to name 2 magazines that help me keep up.
Heres my question. Don't you hate when someone asks you where you bought that shirt or those shoes, or how much did those cost? It is like a show of low low class IMO.

Bruh, if you dress Pimp, people are gonna ask you.
It's human nature/response.
If you dress like Urkel, no one will give a rat's (__!__).

If you wear GQ, you're going to get hit on by gays.

I must just be a conceited asshole then. I never act like I like what someone else has. If someone had a platinum car I wouldn't even turn my head to watch it drive by.

I think asking where I bought something is OK. I think it's uncouth to ask how much something costs.

See check this out i dress out nice when i have to. Like if im going to a restaurant, bar, club, or just where girls are gonna be present so for that i put on nice clothes and the only time i get asked what im wearing is by girls so i dont have a problem with that...starts a conversation doesnt it?

I'm a size 54 reg so not much out of the GQ mag would even fit me up top so I have to go the custom route. I also gave up wearing "cow" in 95... So when people look down and see gators on my feet they usually do ask what they run and where I get em. One chick scared the crap out of me last week when she looked down and said "13's and Bruno magli" A Chick like that has to be super high maint to even know what they are.

To me its a compliment to be asked where I got something. Its says to me that I got whats in NOW and they dont, but they NEED it so they are going to get it. But the nice thing is, next week when you see them again, they will be wearing what you had on last week and you will be in something new. They are ALWAYS 1 week behind.
As far as the other question goes, I do find it degrading a little if someone asks me how much my threads cost.

i had all my shirts and suits tailor made. Nobody ever ask what it costs. Just what is cost to have a shirt cut to your own specs.

Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, THAT IS STRENGTH
