How to Tip a Wedding Waiter

    1. If your waiter sucks, he/she still helped your family---- 10% of total
    2. If your waiter was very helpful and friendly---- 15% of total
    3. If your waiter busted his trash, kept a smile on his face, and never friggen flinched when you asked him to run and grab something else for the fifteenth time---- 20%+++ of total!
(I fall under the third category more often than not, and am very offended when you don't understand that it is your tips that are paying for my education).
    >>Since I work for a wedding reception place I get Squat for tips. I bust my azz so hard and run drinks all night and they wont give me $1. THen the a-hole will go to the bar, get a coke and give the bartender a $20. Not only do they (bartenders) get paid more then waiters but they do 1/2 the work we do (clearing tables, getting food and resetting).

PLEASE, the next time you go to a wedding, TIP YOUR WAITER. thanks!

How much should you tip a wedding waiter? Should you tip the service in general and give the management the tip to disperse amongst the waiters? Or give them all seperate tips accordingly?

I'm getting married in November and the place where we are having the reception put a 15% gratuity for the staff. That's over $3k out of my pocket.

You might want to find another place to work for.
