Carlos_E]I[/url] went to see an orthopedic specialist yesterday morning. He examine me and took a bunch of X-rays. I have a partial tear of the abductor muscle where the muscle attaches to the tendon. (Which is better than a tear where the tendon attaches to the bone.)
As he was doing the interview process he said "I hate to ask you this, but I have to so please don't be offended. Have you ever used steroids?" I was honest and said yes. Since he didn't ask in an accusatory kind of way like other
doctors I had no problems being honest with him.
HE WAS TOTALLY COOL ABOUT IT. No steroid is bad lecture at all! He said he has several patients who "use." He said when you use steroids you have to remember that your muscles grow faster than tendons so you have to do exercises in the gym that will strengthen your tendons as well as muscles. Then he gave me a few workout tips. I let him know I want to compete in a show in 12 weeks so he said he's going to do whatever he can to get me rehabbed quickly. I have physical therapy 3 times a week for the next 6 weeks along with ultra sound and massage. Yes, someone will be massaging my groin... Should be interesting.

He also said I can train my legs in the gym but if I feel any pain or strain in that area I have to STOP. He said if I try and ignore the pain I'm just going to injure myself further and make the entire situation worse.
