How much does everyone pay for a year membership? I just went to join a local gym cause I just moved to MD from NJ. Ive been working out in my house for the past 6 months, the gym i want to join is $600 per year. Does that seem expensive?

But they want it all up front, and this place is nothing special its just a plain gym with a couple of treadmills, its a old school gym

I would look around for another place -- I would never pay for the whole year at once. Who knows if that gym will not go belly up in 3 months???
I pay $26/mo canadian.....![]()
exactly, who the hell actually pays to go to the gym anymore? if i had to pay i dont think id go lolOriginally Posted by SwoleCat
or you can try this, just go and join, then after a few months of going there you become good friends with the people that work there... you know the managers and sales and desk people. after a few more months cancel your memebership and just walk in all the time and dont let them scan ya. since they know you and are used to you coming in they wont even think about scanning your card. if you ever get caught just play dumb, most likely they wont care at all. oh yeah, this will only work at a corporate type gym where the people that work there dont care about the company at all.![]()
Thats what Im thinking, but its so close to my house. Maybe someone from the Maryland area can hook me up with a good place to train.
This is a small gym, I saw a sheet that you sign when you walk in. I'll just start training there without paying cause i stood ther for 10 min. before anyone even saw me.
ive seen worse than that. but then again im locked in at 299 a yr
I pay 19/mo at peaks...Paid 220 to renew a 3 year with ballys and pay 25/mo for golds.
34 a month for golds for me
They said I could workout for a couple weeks for free to see how I like it. I'll try to get them to charge me by the month while Im there. If not then Im stuck at home cause its the only one thats close to me.
35$ a month in this town and it includes tanning
In my hometown I payed roughly 200$ for a year

$371 for a year i think
used to be 90 bux CAN for a year but it was such a crappi place.... now im stuck at energie cardio and i have pay 500 for a whole year...at least ive got the A/C...
$99 a year for 24 hour.
With a price that low, I just keep it on hand for late hours, or travelling. Usually I go to World Gym 15.95 a month.
I joined both when they first opened - you can get some great deals that way.
$20 per year at 24 Hour Fitness. Of Course I paid 799$ for 3 years, but every year after that its just a $20 renewal for the entire year. If you ever go to 24 Hour Fitness for a gym membership, go towards the end of the month and find out when their closeout is. I used to work their in sales, and sometimes they have crazy deals like the one I bought.
That's f*cked-up cheap. That is 1.67 a month.Originally Posted by cjp85
I paid the same for 3 years, but I pay 99 a year now, and that is still NOTHING
A few key ones for sure, yes!Originally Posted by Flasher

In the past year, I've put about $3500 into my gym in my basement. I also train 1-2 days a week at a gym not far from my house, it costs me $99 per year if I enroll in December of every year. My wife pays around $375/yr for a family membership to a nicer facility. That price includes aerobics and all the jackass training advice you can stomach.
54 a month for me and the Mrs
Mass you and I are in the same boat! It's like $52 for the both of us...

$15 bucks a month for my self and the Mrs. I have that deal for years now.![]()
We used to have all kinds of crazy specials when I worked at 24 Hour, and its funny cuz at the end of the month when the district realizes they need as much money as possible to get bonuses and **** they lower the sh!t out of the prices. I knew I didnt want to work there to much longer so I forked out and bought that membership when the price was low, and got paid commision off of it.
