    Quad Accident

D*mn guys I just got back from riding my quad with a few friends....... I got f*cked up pretty good this time around. I was going off a jump and didn't approach right and half way up I decided to ditch the quad and as I came down I put my hand under me to stop the fall and I bent 3 fingers backward on my right hand..... I was also only wearing a short sleave shirt cause it was hot and I am an idiot. I broke the 3 fingers, scrapped up my arms and legs pretty good.....and I am sore as hell. I have those little cast things on my fingers. How long does a broken finger take to heal? I don't think I am going to be able to lift now as I won't be able to grip a bar, and not only that but I start College on Monday and I don't think I will be able to write now either. I am soooo pissed....... but this just goes to show you have to be careful. A stupid move is probably gona cost me a few weeks of being able to lift now. I guess I can focus on legs once I am not sore from falling anymore.

Just thought I would share / vent

you should be able to lift some upper body with out the fingers, i know i can bench press with out gripping the bar, just do lighter weight. hope you heal fast bro

get well soon bro. i bet after a few weeks of initial healing you will be able to do some movements. or you could focus on cardio/abs and get ripped as hell. best wishes.

hey man, sorry to hear about the accident...

in the meantime...get your cardio on, work legs...and do whatever machines you can without gripping (chest, shoulders, etc).

Have a speedy recovery man, I bet you'll come up with ways to work around the fingers( as much as possible), if you have alot of joint stiffness after the fingers heal, check out some bextra, I bent 3 toes backward until they were resting on the top of my foot ( chasing an %sshole spotlighting deer on my land and I stepped in a stumphole) and the bextra really knock the edge off the joint discomfort....sounds like you might need to record your lectures @ school..best of luck

I just stopped the DNP last Sunday......I am going to wait until it is cold outside before I embark on that again lol.

I don't plan on sitting around either.....I will just hit up legs and cardio and try to work around the fingers.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I'll keep ya updated

man the fuk up, thats no excuse to stop benching/deadlifting, just go buy some wraps and your good to go. back in nam, i had both my legs severed by a korean razor chainsaw, but i still squat 400 day in and day out.

jk bro, good luck on the recovery, and ya ive been through what your going through now.**** sucked.
