You know what I learned from reading that article that I was not aware of before I read it? The terrorists were muslims. Why am I not surprised at that? Everytime acts of terror that have an evil tone to them occur, it is a muslim group who does it. There are many types of terrorist groups and not all are muslim. Nah it's not even that. It's the terrain. The geographical location of afghan is a tough place to fight. Even the US is having trouble there.

I don't think this going to make much of a difference...Russia has been trying to control Chechnya since USSR broke up and its obvious they haven't been doing that great of a job at it.

EDIT: And that is pretty much their main and only concern at this point. I just don't see Russia attacking Iranian or Syrian terrorist compounds for instance or backing the Phillippines in removing terrorists from their lands.
