    9/11 - National Holiday....?

    Whats ur thoughts on making 9/11 a national holiday..? IMHO there should be something done to remember what happened that traggic day. And what better way then to make that day a national holiday. Plz give me ur thoughts...thxs

    We have enough national holidays... Sorry I don't think the Post office needs another day off...

    The way we currently do... With memorial services, and other things that honor the fallen on that day. Do you have any idea how much is costs the national government to shut down for a day? Tons... I think we can memorialize it without a national holiday. Do we have a national holiday for D-Day or Pearl Harbor?

    You know, if it was a national holiday, you can bet your ass that the firefighters and medics would still be on duty. I know i will be today, and still would if it were a holiday.

    there isnt a holiday to commemorate pearl harbour is there? if there isnt one for that, then there shouldnt be one for 9/11.

    No more holidays! Of course we could all use another reason to get off work/out of school..but memrorial ceremonies etc are enough. Even with holidays, yes it might be a show of respect, but sooner or later will be just another BBQ/beer day as someone pointed out above..
